Photographs were taken in 2021 to document part of Estefanía Fernández-Cid's doctoral thesis on "Cider Architecture in the Principality of Asturias".
La Lloraza is an old cider press located near Villaviciosa, Asturias. Now disused and abandoned, it houses a large wooden press, necessary for the cider-making process. Time has stood still in this place and despite its state of ruin, it is possible to imagine how it might have functioned some years ago
